Your safety is our top priority. Here's how we protect you on LivX — and how you can protect yourself.
How We Protect You
LivX is built with safety in mind. We work around the clock to keep the platform safe, so you can focus on connecting.
Content Moderation
We monitor messages and profiles for prohibited content, including attempts to share personal contact information outside the platform.
Photo Review
Profile photos are screened for inappropriate content. Photos that violate our guidelines are removed and the account may be actioned.
Video Call Safety
We have built-in protections during video calls to help prevent inappropriate content from being shown on camera.
Data Protection
Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections. We follow industry best practices to keep your information safe.
Dedicated Team
Our moderation team reviews reports, investigates violations, and takes action against rule-breakers every day.
Fast Response
Reports are reviewed promptly. Severe violations result in immediate action, including permanent bans and device blocks.
Reporting Someone
If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or is breaking our Community Guidelines, report them immediately. Every report is reviewed by our team.

During a Video Call
Tap the flag icon on the call screen. You can report while the call is still active — the other person won't know.

On a User Profile
Tap the three-dot menu on their profile and select "Report". Choose a category and add details if you'd like.

In Messages
Long-press on a specific message and select "Report". This flags the message and the sender for review.

In Recent Activity
Tap the flag icon next to any user in your call history to report them after the fact.

Via Email
Contact support@livxapp.com with details and any screenshots. Include the user's display name if possible.
What happens after you report? Our moderation team reviews every report. Depending on the severity, the reported user may receive a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. We may not always be able to share the specific outcome, but rest assured every report is taken seriously.
Blocking a User
Blocking is instant and gives you full control. When you block someone:
- They cannot call you, message you, or see your profile
- They will not appear in your online users list or random matching
- They won't know they've been blocked — they'll simply no longer see you
- Your existing conversation with them will be hidden
To block someone: visit their profile, tap the three-dot menu, then select "Block". You can view and manage your blocked list in Settings → Blocked Accounts.
Staying Safe During Video Calls
Video chatting with new people is exciting, but it's important to stay aware. Here are our recommendations:
Do:
- Keep the Auto Blur feature enabled (Settings → Video → Auto Blur) — it blurs your camera when no face is detected
- End the call immediately if someone shows inappropriate content
- Report the user right away — you can do this during or after the call
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave
- Remember: you're in control. You can end any call at any time
Don't:
- Don't show personal documents, ID cards, or sensitive information on camera
- Don't expose yourself or engage in sexual behavior on camera
- Don't feel pressured to do anything you're uncomfortable with
- Don't share your real phone number, address, or social media — our filter blocks these for your protection
- Don't agree to move conversations to other platforms where we can't protect you
Staying Safe in Messages
- Auto-translation: Messages from users who speak a different language are automatically translated, so language barriers don't leave you confused about what's being said
- Content filtering: We monitor messages for attempts to share contact information and harmful content
- Block and report: If someone sends you unwanted messages, you can block them instantly and report the conversation
- Delete conversations: You can delete any conversation from your messages list at any time
Protecting Yourself from Scams
Unfortunately, scammers exist on every platform. Here's how to spot and avoid them on LivX:
- Money requests: Never send money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency to anyone you meet on LivX — no matter the reason they give
- Too good to be true: Be skeptical of people who immediately profess strong feelings or make big promises
- Urgency pressure: Scammers often create urgency ("I need help right now"). Take your time and think critically
- Off-platform requests: Be wary of anyone insisting you move to WhatsApp, Telegram, or other platforms
- Investment schemes: Never invest money based on advice from someone you met on a video chat app
Remember: LivX will never ask for your password, payment details, or personal information via message. If someone claiming to be "LivX support" asks for this, it's a scam — report them immediately.
If You Experience Abuse
We take all forms of abuse seriously. If you experience any of the following, please report it immediately:
- Sexual harassment: Unwanted sexual comments, requests, or behavior during calls or messages
- Threats: Any threats of violence, harm, or intimidation
- Blackmail or extortion: Anyone threatening to share screenshots, recordings, or personal information unless you pay or comply
- Stalking: Repeated unwanted contact after being blocked or asked to stop
- Child exploitation: Any content or behavior involving minors — this results in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. LivX is not a substitute for emergency services and cannot intervene in real-time emergencies.
For non-emergency abuse reports, contact us at support@livxapp.com with as much detail as possible. Include screenshots if available.
Keeping Your Account Secure
- Never share your sign-in codes with anyone
- Always sign out when using a shared device
- If you notice unusual activity, sign out immediately and contact support
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings
Our Commitment to You
Safety is not a one-time effort — it's an ongoing commitment. We continuously improve our protections, review our policies, and invest in keeping LivX a safe place for everyone. Repeat offenders are permanently banned and blocked from creating new accounts.
